Here is what today's email said: (below). I can't get the pictures to up-load beccause it is in a word document, but they also send pictures of what Molly is doing in class... love it. Kyley's teacher hasn't done this yet, but I am going to ask about it.
Today is Tuesday March 29, 2011 Stefanie and Kym
· Welcome to Preschool 2 and Bright Horizons Molly Atkinson and her family.
· Jefferson County Schools Spring Break is the week of April 4-8, 2011, if your child will be out any this week please let us know so that we are able to staff accordingly.
· As the days get warmer some of the friends may need sunscreen and bug spray, if not already done so we have sunscreen and insect repellant permission slips. We will be using Coopertone Water Babies sunscreen lotion SPF50, but if you have special sunscreen lotion please feel free to bring it in for your child.
Kid Fit
The friends continued talking about their bones and did many exercises to get their bones moving and their blood flowing.
Story (Language Works)
Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss
Hurray for Spring by Patricia Hubbell
A little boy celebrates spring by doing activities such as swinging, playing in puddles, planting seeds, observing ants, worms, rabbits, and red-winged blackbirds.
Math The friends used fruit loops to sort in colors (red, blue, green, orange, yellow, and purple) and to count.
Creative Expression
The friends used colored fruit loops, green leaves, and a brown steam to make a flower.
Centers
Some of the friends dressed up in their Princess costumes and went “sight seeing”, while some of the other friends built a forest for their dinosaurs to live.
Oh - I like their new school much better so far! Hopefully they don't serve such dreadful food either! That's awesome that she sends that every day.... good for that teacher for caring and doing a good job!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I hope the kids are napping while she puts together such an informative note that includes pictures. Don't get me wrong--the note is great; I would just prefer she not write it while she is supposed to be working with kids or monitoring them. I am hoping for nap time.
ReplyDeleteSounds much more like what a day care is supposed to be! Hope they will love it there.
