Convicting
I didn't want to go to church this morning...that is a fact, but we did and I am glad. The sermon today was about passing on faith to the next generation. Arnis, our preacher, spoke very candidly to us parents in the audience and reminded us that it is our responsibility to do this. In some ways, I think that Darryn and I have done well in teaching the girls to pray or reading them stories from their children's bible...but I think we have failed in leading by example. We don't take them to bible class enough, we don't go to chuch on Wednesday night, we need to prioritize life a little bit more. Thankfully, we were already thinking this, but the message this morning was convicting and I know we can do better for our kiddos. We love them too much to fail on this one.

I prayed for you for years before D met you, and it always seems God gives me so much more than what I ask for! Now I thank Him for you all the time. My granddaughters are so blessed to have you two for parents. I ask God to bring you some awesome Christian friends in Louisville that you can worship and play with! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteJoey and I were just talking about this. Why does the stuff that's so important have to be so hard sometimes!
