Thunder Over Louisville

Tonight we went and watched the largest fireworks show in the US...Thunder Over Louisville.  Now, it was only 45 degrees and had rained all day, so we opted for a view from the Boardroom at the hospital, which was a great decision!  The boardroom is on the 15th floor and overlooks the Ohio River, where they shot the fireworks off of the 2nd street bridge.  There was also a stunt airshow today and we were able to see some of the stunt planes fly before it got dark.

You've gotta come see this!

Soccer pictures

Its been a whil

Okay--- I've done it again.  I have gone a long time with updating the blog to let you all know what has been going on.  So, I will give you a re-cap of the past week or so.

Last saturday was round 2 of soccer.  Molly ran the entire game, holding her daddy's hand and watching her shadow follow behind her.  It was really hilarious once Darryn figured out why she was looking the other way.   Kyley, on the other hand, was a totally different kid.  She paid attention the entire game, even while on defense.  SHe blocked a goal attempt by the other team...and almost did again...but froze and didn't kick the ball.

On Sunday we went to church and then played outside all day.  We had 75 degree weather, so it was gorgeous.  Kyley and dad practiced soccer and Molly---well, she picked flowers.

Most of the week is a blur so I don't recall exactly what day certain event happened...so I'll do my best.

One night we went to the YMCA and I did a yoga class while Darryn played basketball and the girls went to the activity room to play.  We all had alot of fun and always look forward to going back again.  I was thinking that yoga wasn't that tough...but the next day my body was sore in places it hasn't been sore.  So, maybe I was wrong.

One night we played outside again, practicing soccer.  While Dad and Kyely practiced, I decided I would try to take both dogs and Molly for a walk at the park down the street.  Hmmmm.... interesting idea... cause the park is under construction, Molly constantly wants to stop for some reason or another, and hte dogs are highly distractable.  I ended up carrying Molly on my shoulders for about 150 feet while walking the 2 dogs up a gravel hill.  Let's just say I won't try that again for a while!

Friday night the girls went and spent the night at Susie's house...her daughter Cameryn is 6 and very fun to play with.   Darryn and I got to go on a date!   We went to the Bardstown road area of Louisville and walked around looking at the shops and found a little pizza place to eat at.... we waited for a while (like 40 minutes) for the pizza, but would say it was well worth the wait.  It was delicious.

Darryn went to pick up the girls Saturday morning for soccer and it was obvious that they had not slept much (as expected).  Luckily, I suppose, the soccer games were cancelled due to a huge storm!  It looked like night time at 11 am!  We had huge gusts of wind and pea-sized hail...and yes, we were out driving in it!  We pulled into a parking garage to wait it out and contnued on.

Now we are gearing up for Kyley-bug's birthday...we llooked and looked for a Tangled cake pan, but were unsuccessful.... so mom is going to try her hand at making one without a pattern.  Cupcake-tower with a inverted cone on top!  Small repunzle doll ...should be cute and I will post pictures!

Martha got here yesterday too, so the girls are very excited and as you might expect haven't left her side except when forced to do so.

Kyley and I went to the ballet yesterday too...she wasn't really impressed... which surprised me.

I'll work on not doing this again...waiting to summarize a week in one post...that is way to much reading and certainly not enough pictures!  Gotta put some batteries in the camera and upload some soccer pictures too, huh!?!?

thanks for reading!
